The Ultimate Northern Tanzania Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or pickup from your Arusha hotel, you will be met by your professional safari guide and depart directly for Lake Manyara National Park. Driving through scenic countryside and along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, from lush groundwater forests to open plains and the lakeshore. In the afternoon, proceed to your lodge for check-in, followed by dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will depart Lake Manyara and journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park, traveling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with spectacular scenery along the way. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you enter the Central Serengeti (Seronera region), arriving at your lodge or camp in the afternoon, followed by dinner and overnight.

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in Central Serengeti, one of the most wildlife-rich regions in Africa. You will explore open savannahs and river systems in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush before continuing with afternoon game viewing and returning to your accommodation for dinner.

The day begins before dawn with the option to experience one of Africa’s most magical adventures—an optional hot air balloon safari over the endless plains of the Central Serengeti. As the sun slowly rises, drift silently above rivers, kopjes, and roaming wildlife, enjoying a unique perspective of the Serengeti awakening to a new day. After landing, a beautifully prepared bush breakfast is served in the heart of the wilderness. Later in the morning, return to camp before heading out on a leisurely game drive, allowing you to explore different wildlife-rich areas, observe animal behavior, and fully absorb the vastness and rhythm of the Serengeti. As the day draws to a close, return to your lodge or camp for a relaxed evening, dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, depart the Central Serengeti with an en-route game drive as you exit the park, enjoying final wildlife sightings across the endless plains. Continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ascending to the crater rim for breathtaking views of the world-famous caldera. Later, descend from the highlands and proceed to the town of Karatu, arriving at your lodge in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast in Karatu, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a final game drive on the crater floor, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. This unique ecosystem supports an exceptional concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy game viewing across grasslands, swamps, and soda lakes before ascending the crater rim. After lunch, continue your journey to Tarangire National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a full day of game drives in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River which attracts wildlife throughout the year. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a final morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, making the most of your last safari moments among elephants, plains game, and birdlife. Later, depart for Arusha, arriving in the afternoon where your safari comes to an end.
