The journey continues through misty hills and vibrant rural villages until you arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where your forest lodge provides a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by the sights and sounds of ancient rainforest.

After an early breakfast, prepare for one of Africa’s most profound wildlife encounters—mountain gorilla trekking. Following a detailed briefing by expert park rangers at 8:00 am, you will set off into Bwindi’s dense, mist-laden forest alongside experienced guides. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, winding through towering trees, tangled vines, and rich undergrowth alive with birds and primates. The moment you encounter a gorilla family—often led by a majestic silverback—is nothing short of magical, allowing you one unforgettable hour to observe their gentle interactions up close. After returning from the forest and enjoying a well-earned lunch, you will take part in a meaningful cultural visit with the Batwa community. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation and reflection.

This morning, depart Bwindi after breakfast and journey north toward Queen Elizabeth National Park via the scenic Ntungamo–Katunguru route. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of rolling savannah, crater lakes, and vibrant roadside markets that reflect everyday Ugandan life. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out for a spectacular afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway is one of Africa’s richest wildlife corridors, offering close-up sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes along the shores. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by the abundance of species, including African fish eagles, pelicans, kingfishers, and seasonal migrants—all set against golden afternoon light.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive as the savannah awakens, offering prime opportunities to spot lions, elephants, leopards, Uganda kob, buffaloes, and hyenas against the soft sunrise glow. After breakfast, continue your exploration with a cultural visit to Lake Katwe, where you’ll witness traditional salt mining methods that have sustained local communities for generations. Arrive in the Kibale area in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out in the afternoon to explore the Bigodi Wildlife Sanctuary. This community-run wetland is a haven for biodiversity and offers a guided nature walk through lush swamps and forest edges, where you may encounter red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and a rich variety of birdlife, including the great blue turaco. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a guided chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest. As you track these energetic primates through towering fig trees and lush undergrowth, you’ll witness their fascinating social interactions, playful behavior, and impressive vocal communication. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning your transfer to Entebbe, enjoying your final views of Uganda’s beautiful countryside.
